VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIESOCCUPATIONAL THERAPY INSTITUTE
(OTI): Broken Heart Ministries’ / Fundatia Broken Heart’s OTI in Bucharest, Romania, provides consultation
for NGOs, schools, hospitals and governmental agencies in the form of staff and program development within the community.
OTI also provides diagnostic and consultative services for children of all ages who have a broad range of pediatric diagnoses,
learning difficulties, developmental disorders and/or behavior problems.

ALTERNATIVE COMMUNITY PRACTICE: Volunteering on
this vital project will allow you to truly immerse yourself in all aspects of Romanian life while giving you the opportunity
to meet some of the rehabilitation needs for disadvantaged & marginalized children & youths in Romania.
This is
a real opportunity to jump in at the deep end, getting involved with the day-to-day running of community based
practice, from planning treatments to helping with organizational and operational elements.

the Volunteer Application Process
- Interview (via
tele-conferencing)
- Match volunteer’s skills,
experiences and goals with the needs of the medical-based programs (or other programs) of the ministries
- Pass background check, including references, credentials, and fingerprint clearance
- Appropriate preparations for entering international medical missions
in Romania, including any immigration-related issues
- Arrive
in Romania
- Now, it’s really time to start
working hard … Change some lives!
