Broken Heart Ministries Foundation, Inc., founded by Luke and Renee McDannel, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit publicly supported organization, created to serve God's community in Romania. 

Luke McDannel is an attorney and educator, President and Co-Founder of Broken Heart Ministries.  Luke handles the ministry administration duties in Bucharest.  Additionally, Luke has taught Social Science for four years at Bucharest Christian Academy, an international Christian school, primarily serving missionary family students.

Renee McDannel is a Doctor of Occupational Science.  Renee is the CEO and Co-founder of Broken Heart Ministries. She has been in the field of Occupational Therapy/Science for almost thirty years.  She is the hands-on Country Director and Program Director for all Romania activities and projects. 

The American (California) home church of the McDannels and Broken Heart Ministries is Refuge/CCHB, Calvary Chapel Huntington Beach.  Refuge/CCHB works hand in hand with Broken Heart Ministries in this ministry to Romania.  Refuge/CCHB pastors supply valuable guidance, advice and prayer to Broken Heart Ministries:  Senior Pastor Bill Welsh; Associate Pastor Alyn Loyd; and Missions Pastor Geoff Wilson.
